The Birth of Shubh Labh Trading Academy: Our Story

Hey there! Nitin here – finally sitting down to write our very first blog post after weeks of procrastination (and many cups of chai). If you're reading this, you've discovered our new digital home for Shubh Labh Trading Academy. Feels surreal typing that name on our own website after sketching it on napkins for so long!

How We Got Here (The Messy Truth)

Let me take you back to 2016. I was trading from my tiny apartment in Surat, burning through savings and making every rookie mistake in the book. Lost 70% of my first trading account in just three months – a memory that still makes me cringe. My family thought I was crazy to keep trying.

But that rock-bottom moment became my turning point.

After connecting with some mentors (and spending way too many sleepless nights studying charts), things finally clicked. By mid-2022, I was consistently profitable and started helping friends navigate their trading journeys. Their success stories sparked something bigger than I'd imagined.

That's when Rajesh (my business partner and trading buddy since college) suggested we formalize our teaching. We debated names for weeks until my grandmother casually suggested "Shubh Labh" during Sunday dinner – traditional words for "auspicious profit" that perfectly captured our philosophy. Sometimes the best ideas come from unexpected places!

We scraped together our trading profits and rented a modest space in Rajmahal Mall in Dindoli. Nothing fancy – just some tables, chairs, and a whiteboard – but it was ours. That first workshop with just 7 students (including my skeptical brother-in-law) confirmed we were onto something special.

Our Actual Mission (Not Corporate-Speak)

We want to help regular people trade profitably without the crushing mistakes we made. That's it. No fancy mission statement needed.

Every time a student messages us about covering their monthly expenses through consistent trading or avoiding a major loss because of our risk management training, I save that message in a special folder. Currently at 23 messages and growing – each one means more to me than any profit I've made trading.
